The flowers at the Beirut Memorial Grove were in bloom in time for the 33rd Beirut Remembrence. Chosen for their tendancy to do so, the flowers can be seen in full bloom during October of each year.

The grove was intended to serve as a replacement for the orginal Beirut Memorial tree project. The Bradford pear trees planded in the 1980s did not do well with some dying and others being damaged by storms. The project is in its early stages but is coming along nicely. The Beirut Memorial Grove is across from Camp Geiger, home of the 8th Marines.
