The Beirut Veterans of America (BVA) is proud to announce the appointment of Maureen Roepsch as Public Affairs Officer. In this role, Maureen will help ensure the memories of those who made the supreme sacrifice in support of America’s pursuit of peace in Lebanon are kept alive—by connecting BVA communications, whether online, in-person, or through media engagement, back to our mission and motto: “The First Duty is to Remember.”
About Maureen Roepsch
Maureen recently retired from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs after 15 years as Communications Officer for the VA New England Healthcare System.

Enlisted in the U.S. Air Force (1980); served as a Russian Linguist and Intelligence Analyst.

Assigned to the U.S. Detachment at Royal Air Force Base Akrotiri, Cyprus (September–November 1983) in support of the Multinational Peacekeeping Force, Beirut.

Commissioned in the U.S. Coast Guard (1989); served as an Operations Officer and Public Affairs Officer until retirement (July 2001).

Served as an Army contractor (October 2005–May 2006) on a Counter-IED Task Force supporting Multinational Corps–Iraq at Camp Victory, Baghdad.
