It is with great sadness to announce that Thomas W. Smith Jr. passed away suddenly on February 21, 2026.

Born 11/1/60, Smitty grew up in Rockville Centre and Oceanside. Residing in Cedarhurst, he was the beloved husband of Annmarie and proud father of Thomas.

He served proudly in the United States Marines from 1982-86. He worked for Grumman and LILCO/Keyspan/National Grid in the Gas Department until he retired in 2022. An avid sports fan, he loved the Boston Bruins, Green Bay Packers, Yankees and any hockey team his son Thomas played on. He loved his 69 Cougar and 65 Ranchero, going to car shows whenever he could, looking forward to this coming season.
