In May, following appropriate procedures, the Board voted to change the By-Laws. Specifically, "good standing" was defined; procedures for nominations and elections were established; and the terms for the Four (4) Board Members' terms expiring in 2023 were reduced to 2022.
 Connecticut Beirut Memorial Ceremony
This year's CT Beirut Memorial Ceremony will be held on Oct 10th 2020 at 1:00 (1300) at the All Wars Memorial , 715 Bantam Rd, Bantam CT. This year we will be Dedicating a Memorial Stone which lists the names of the 7 CT Beirut Veterans who gave their lives in Beirut from 1982-1984.
North Carolina Scholarship
The BVA Board awarded three $1,000 scholarships to students in Florida and North Carolina. BVA members presented the certificates and checks to the winners in July.
Nominations are now open for the BVA Board of Directors. Nominations may be presented electronically utilizing the contact email on the Official BVA website, or by regular US Mail to Jon Warmeling (Veterans), 105 Main Street Box 490 Bldg. C, Painesville, Oh 44077-0490 and must be postmarked no later than September 23, 2020. Please have your BVA Membership with you in order to receive a ballot at the 10/22/2020 Annual Meeting.

Bike Ride 10
On October 24th the 5th Annual Memorial Ride will be held by Strength & Honor Motorcycle Club of North Carolina. As of right now, the ride will start at New River Harley Davidson and end at the Beirut Memorial.
The 2nd Annual Memorial Ruck will also be held on October 24th. It will start at the Beirut Memorial at a time to be determined, travel along the greenway to Camp LeJeune’s Main Gate and back to our Memorial. This route parallels the original memorial trees originally planted in honor of the fallen. The ruck is 10.23 miles, representing the month and day of the bombing.
